As a Javascript Front-End Developer, you actively help develop and integrate the web portal for automation environments serving Desjardins security and telecommunications services. Your main mandate is to redesign and do a major update of the platform's current framework.
General Information on the Position
Main responsibilities
  • Develop and update the automation platform in an Agile environment
  • Develop and integrate a Web portal using a Python back end and a JavaScript front end
  • Suggest improvements for existing projects
  • Produce quality code
  • Test and debug deliveries
  • Manage all development-related activities assigned to you according to agreed-upon deadlines
  • Validate and correct development errors
  • Transfer knowledge to a Desjardins employee to support the code developed
  • Document the programming and operational procedures implemented as part of the mandate

Qualifications
  • Bachelor'’s degree in a related field
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience
  • Experience in web development
  • Proven experience in handling data

  • For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required
Specific knowledge
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and SQL
  • Knowledge of Python (versions 2.7 and 3.6 on Windows and Linux platforms)
  • Knowledge of automation tools (Ansible and Ansible Tower)
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js or React)
  • Knowledge of Web development using Python (Django or Flask)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD platforms and pipelines (Jenkins)
  • Knowledge of relational databases (RDBMS) and SQL
  • Knowledge of data serialization formats (YAML and JSON)
  • In-depth knowledge of UI/UX
  • Familiarity with object-oriented language
  • Knowledge of all versions of the Git management system
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology
